This place is located in a quiet and beautiful spot right next to the train station, restaurants, market, and subway.

Well-maintained & brand-new rooms with comfortable facilities, comfortable beds and the bathroom. Location really close to the restaurants and market, and Kyoto Station. Again, 15 minutes walk from a historic marketplace.

it was just next door to public transport, the subway, and train stations, particularly good and amazing location overall. it also was away from the train station.

We had a spacious twin room with a nice bathroom and cozy beds, loved the peaceful neighborhood it was in.

In the room I had, there's a standard twin bed setup with an electronic key card, a work desk, and a TV 📺. the bathroom was nice with a bidet included.

I chose this hotel for attending an annual general meeting as it is conveniently located within a short walk from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall and the city center. The facilities provided a comfortable and pleasant stay, with friendly staff and a clean environment.

The only service I missed for my work was the absence of a business center. It would have been more convenient to have access to facilities such as printing and photocopying.

The service was excellent and made our stay very comfortable, and the location was fantastic being near multiple train and subway stations.

I chose Machiyado Shijokarasuma because of its convenient location near the Nishiki Market. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the staff's ability to speak English, Italian, and Japanese at the reception. Additionally, the complimentary wired and wireless internet access allowed me to easily stay connected during my stay. The 24-hour front desk and shared lounge were also great amenities, and the free WiFi throughout the property was a bonus.

I had an absolutely amazing stay and would stay there again! the hotel was well-appointed and wonderfully small. - the staff were affable. - I really enjoyed the room and its traditional decor. - the location was magnificent and peaceful, close enough to train stations.

The continental breakfast was absolutely divine! Such a treat. The hotel had excellent safety features, making me feel oh-so-safe. And the free WiFi? Makes posting all those envy-inducing vacation photos a breeze!

Oh, and let's not forget about the thrilling lack of pets and service animals allowed. Quite the highlight of my stay.

I had an amazing two-day stay at Machiyado Shijokarasuma. the hotel is brand new, and the rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean. I loved the tatami-style bedding that allowed me to experience the Japanese culture while staying in a modern setting. the staff were lovely and always ready to assist, whether you needed help in English or Japanese. the location was perfect, with bustling hubs just a short walk away. And if you didn't feel like walking, the staff was happy to call a cab for you at a very affordable rate. I also appreciated their exceptional customer service when they shipped my forgotten headphones to my next destination free of charge. I would definitely stay here again. Cons: Nothing to complain about at all! 😊.
